Mr. James Finn, Resident Managing Director, United Solar China (R) and Mr. Wang Jianping, Chief Executive Officer, United Solar Ovonic (L) welcome Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner to Beijing Capital Museum and introduce the USO BIPV system installed on the roof, which has been in continuous operation since 2005.

On June 2, U.S. Treasury Secretary Geithner visited the Beijing's Capital Museum, seeing the solar-powered roof of the museum. The Capital Museum installed 5,000 square meters of solar panels at its roof, which can generate power of 200,000 KWh per year.

James Finn presenting Secretary Geithner with a UNI-PACT charger during his visit of the Beijing Capital Museum in June 2009. The UNI-PAC® consists of a series of portable/foldable solar battery chargers using the UNI-SOLAR® triple-junction technology, which has rendered them extremely rugged and durable. They are capable of withstanding extreme climate conditions and rugged terrains while their unique design makes them easy to carry and deploy.

Subhendu Guha, President of United Solar Ovonic, accompanied the President as he toured United Solar Ovonic's football-field long proprietary continuous web triple-junction solar cell manufacturing machine, explaining the science behind its thin-film amorphous silicon solar cell technology and how the stainless steel is fed through the machine to manufacture photovoltaic solar cells continuously by the mile and by the ton.

The second, 170,000 square foot Auburn Hills 2 (AH2) facility, built next to the AH1 facility, is complete. With a manufacturing capacity of 30 MW per annum, AH2 is a duplicate of its AH1 facility and began commercial production in December 2006.

This tilted array, made up of UNI-SOLAR® PV laminates was designed for the south elevation of the Automation Alley building.
